Vitamin C helps to repair and regenerate tissues and may help to prevent certain cancers. Vitamin B6 is vital to major body functions like movement, memory, energy, and blood flow. Cabbage is also known to be a good source of numerous additional vitamins and minerals including: choline, phosphorus, vitamin B2, magnesium, calcium, selenium, iron, pantothenic acid, protein, niacin, manganese, dietary fiber, potassium, vitamin B1, folate and copper.

Another well-known health-benefit of cabbage is its unique source of phytonutrients. Phytonutrients are known to reduce blood pressure and inflammation. They also prevent several types of disease including cancer, viral infections, and bacterial infections. With so many great health benefits, it’s no wonder we use cabbage in so many of our dishes.
